Cassette / Unitized / Axle Seals
Cassette or unitiszd seals provide many benefits over a single component lip seal where outside contamination can damage the sealing lip. They generally provide more protective pre-greased wiper lips, and have an integral running surface, thus protecting the shaft. Typical applications are trucks, trailers, agricultural tractors, mining bogies, construction machinery and any other type of machinery where the environment is more severe.
CHO have many years experience and knowledge of the design and manufacture of these types of seals for all types of applications. Many more factors need to be taken into account when designing and manufacturing these seals and usually a combination of materials are used to achieve the most cost effective solution.
